While the BlockchainHub network has been expanding last year, with new Hubs like Oslo, Sofia and Zurich on board, I have been actively involved in creating an Interdisciplinary Research Institute for Cryptoeconomics at the Vienna University of Economics & Business, which I am now directing as of this month. This means that we have to redefine our activities in Berlin.
A lot of the research activities that we initiated around our numerous working groups – law, governance, identity, science, art, aviation, will shift to the Institute in Vienna, where we have a lot more resources with full-time researchers dedicated to working on these topics, while BlockchainHub Berlin will become more hands-on, focusing on sustainability, possibly starting a crypto accelerator program or a similar structure. Berlin’s team is also expanding, with 3 new team members on board. We will keep you posted on the activities!
