Ben Goertzel, CEO, SingularityNET
Dr. Ben Goertzel is the CEO of the decentralized AI network SingularityNET, a blockchain-based AI platform company, and the Chief Scientist of Hanson Robotics. Dr. Goertzel also serves as Chairman of the Artificial General Intelligence Society, the OpenCog Foundation, the Decentralized AI Alliance and the futurist nonprofit Humanity+. Dr. Goertzel is one of the world’s foremost experts in Artificial General Intelligence, a subfield of AI oriented toward creating thinking machines with general cognitive capability at the human level and beyond. He also has decades of expertise applying AI to practical problems in areas ranging from natural language processing and data mining to robotics, video gaming, national security and bioinformatics.
Atsushi Ishii, CEO, Couger
After being involved in the development of various services at IBM, Atsushi Ishii developed multiple large-scale search engines at Rakuten and Infoseek. He founded Couger and led the teams in Japan, US, and South Korea for developing multiple top-selling online games. He has also provided technical cooperation to one of the top teams for Amazon Robotics Challenge, provided AI learning simulator to Honda, and led the development of Cloud Robotics for a Japanese government-backed AI research project. Atsushi is currently leading the development of “Connectome” using AI, AR and Blockchain.
Dimi De Jonghe, Head of Research, Ocean Protocol (PANEL MODERATOR)
Dr. Dimitri De Jonghe is a cross-domain protocol researcher. After finishing his PhD on micro-electronics and machine learning, he co-founded a series of blockchain startups: ascribe [power to creators] and BigchainDB [a blockchain database], and Ocean Protocol [a public network for data and AI marketplaces]. Currently, Dimitri is heading research at Ocean Protocol on public intelligence networks. He is also a co-chair of the W3C Interledger community, a blockchain interoperability protocol.
Tak Lo, Partner, Zeroth
Tak Lo is creating startup leaders in Asia. He is a Partner at Zeroth, an AI-focused early stage funding program. Zeroth has invested in 34 companies. He pontificates at taklo.co and tweets at @tak_lo.
Peter Wang, CTO, Anaconda
Peter Wang is the cofounder and CTO of Anaconda, where he leads the product engineering team for the Anaconda platform and open source projects including Bokeh and Blaze. Peter has been developing commercial scientific computing and visualisation software for over 15 years and has software design and development experience across a broad variety of areas, including 3D graphics, geophysics, financial risk modelling, large data simulation and visualisation, and medical imaging. As a creator of the PyData conference, he also devotes time and energy to growing the Python data community by advocating, teaching, and speaking about Python at conferences worldwide.
